25th and 26th November @ The Shoulder of Mutton Colchester Christmas Market
Wow! What an amazing time I had this weekend. Despite the cold chill, I was warmed by the lovely people that visited, the other stall owners who were so extremely talented and last but by no means least, the lovely owners of the The Shoulder - Amy, Sam and their wonderful family.
I love speaking about history so I talked people's ears off about all things old and ancient - hopefully not too much - I can get lost in my inner geek! I am so grateful to everyone who stopped by, gave feedback and purchased an item. Every little goes towards making my business more and more sustainable and eco friendly and helps me learn and improve my skills. Who knows, maybe one day this will be my sole income.
After two days of admin I'm getting more stock prepped for a cabinet that I will have at the Shoulder... stay tuned for more information to come about this! SUPER excited!
Hope you are all staying warm - wrap up and watch time team (that's my top tip!)

Kerrie Masters Wins Prestigious Award from Business Tycoon Theo Paphitis
Kerrie Masters, owner of Art By Kerrie, has been honored with a prestigious Small Business Sunday (SBS) Award by renowned business tycoon Theo Paphitis. Chosen from thousands of small business owners across the UK, Kerrie’s unique mudlarking jewellery business caught Theo’s attention, earning her a coveted place among the elite group of #SBS winners.
Theo personally presented Kerrie with her official SBS certificate at an exclusive winners’ event, where she had the incredible opportunity to meet and connect with the entrepreneur himself. His recognition has given Art By Kerrie a significant boost, with Theo sharing her business with his 500,000 followers across Twitter and Instagram, amplifying her reach and exposure.
Kerrie’s business transforms fascinating finds from mud and marshlands into wearable pieces of history, allowing customers to own a tangible connection to the past. She shared her excitement about the win:
"I still can’t quite believe it! My business is quite niche, and while I’ve been creating for a while, I only started pushing it seriously about a year ago. Meeting Theo and receiving this recognition is an incredible confidence boost. I’m so passionate about the history behind my jewellery, and having the support of such a successful entrepreneur and the wider SBS community is truly inspiring.”
The SBS initiative, launched by Theo in 2010, now boasts over 3,500 winners, supporting and championing small businesses across the UK. Each week, six exceptional businesses are handpicked, providing them with invaluable exposure and networking opportunities.
