This Logo piece is from a piece of pottery that is marked L.C.C which stands for London County Council. It is a piece made for the London County Council Fire Brigade In Euston. The building originates from 1902 and Before the Metropolitan Fire Brigade Act was passed in 1865, London's firefighters were employed by insurance companies. The Metropolitan Fire Brigade (MPB) was formed in 1866 when insurance companies relinquished their responsibilities due to escalating costs. Captain Sir Eyre Massey Shaw introduced a new uniform and designed the iconic brass helmets. In 1889, the London County Council (LCC) Look over MEB operations, and in 1904 the name was changed to the London Fire Brigade.
